July 16, 2009 - Ellicott City Man Crowned Heavyweight Champion of the World in Karate
Stanley Crump, owner of Ellicott City Fitness & Karate (ECF&K), earned the title “Heavyweight Champion of the World” in the Uechi Ryu World Cup, an international competition held last month in Tampa, Florida. The competition included 280 invited participants from around the world in various age- and weight-classes. Mr. Crump beat competitors from Canada, France, Argentina, and the U.S. during the tournament.

April 21, 2008 - Sensei Stan Crump Wins Business Award
Stanley Crump, co-owner of Ellicott City Fitness & Karate was honored by the Howard County Economic Development Authority through its Committee for Business and Economic Diversity. Stan won the “Individual Achievement” award, which recognizes outstanding accomplishment in the business community by an individual who is a minority, woman, or person with a disability. The honor was bestowed during the 15th Annual Awards Program and Breakfast Gala on April 21. Congratulations, Stan!
